Terms & Conditions for Operation Joy Gift Giveaway

Welcome to Operation Joy! These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for participation in our Christmas Gift Giveaway initiative. By applying to participate, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Information

• Operation Joy is a voluntary initiative organized by the Organizers of Operation Joy Gift Giveaway in Prince George, BC.
• This program is a goodwill effort to provide holiday gifts to selected families in need within the Prince George community.
• The program is not affiliated with or operated by a business, charity, or formal organization.

2. Eligibility

• The giveaway is open exclusively to families residing in Prince George, BC.
• Applicants must provide accurate and complete information, including contact details, address, and family needs, as requested in the Google Form.
• Only one application per household is allowed. Duplicate submissions may result in disqualification.

3. Selection Process

• Due to limited resources, only 15 to 30 families will be selected to receive gifts.
• The selection process is based on the information provided in the application form and at the sole discretion of the organizers.
• The decision of the organizers is final, and no appeals or disputes will be entertained.

4. Gifts and Conditions

• Gifts provided are selected based on the preferences indicated in the application form, subject to availability.
• Gifts are donated and distributed "as-is," without warranties, representations, or guarantees regarding their quality, safety, or suitability.
• Recipients agree to accept the gifts with no expectation of replacement, repair, or additional items.

5. Recipient Responsibilities

• Recipients are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely communication with the organizers.
• Failure to respond to communications or provide required details (e.g., address verification) within a reasonable timeframe may result in forfeiture of the opportunity to receive gifts.
• By accepting gifts, recipients release the organizers from any liability, claims, or damages related to the use or handling of the gifts.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

• Information provided in the application form is used solely for the purpose of contacting applicants and organizing gift distribution.
• Personal information is not sold, shared, or disclosed to any third parties.
• All data will be securely stored and deleted by December 31, 2024. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

7. Liability Waiver

• By participating in Operation Joy, applicants acknowledge and agree that the organizers are not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses related to the acceptance or use of the gifts.
• A Release of Liability and Waiver Agreement must be signed by each recipient before receiving gifts.

8. Program Changes

• The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the giveaway at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or resource constraints.
• Any changes to the program will be communicated promptly to applicants.

9. Governing Law

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia.
• Any disputes arising from the program shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Prince George, BC.
